Born in 1983 in New Delhi, India, lives in Haines Falls, NY Studio in Haines Falls, NY

Monika grew-up in Delhi into a family engaged in the clothing trade across the Indian subcontinent. This early exposure to materials, pattern, and color shaped her creative sensibility and later evolved into a visual art practice grounded in abstraction, geometry, and contemplative inquiry.
She has practiced spirituality with the Brahma Kumaris since 2001, beginning at a young age. From 2016 onward, she began translating her lived meditation experiences into visual form through oil on canvas and digital media. Her work explores the journey of focus within the human mind, unfolding across different meditative stages and emotional states. Through bold strokes, layered surfaces, and intricate color compositions, she expresses an evolving aesthetic that brings together inner stillness and free-spirited abstraction. Her style continues to mature through ongoing reflection and refinement.
Monika’s work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across London, New York City, the Adirondacks, and Florida, reflecting a practice that moves fluidly between urban and contemplative environments. Through her art, she invites viewers into a journey of inner transformation, self-discovery, and authentic artistic expression, offering a healing and transformative experience she calls The Eternal Expression.
Her recent body of work, Rosary of Victory, explores the spiritual perspective of gaining victory over the self and has received growing recognition. In 2025, the series was selected by Harvard University for the Spirituality and the Arts Conference and by LABRC for the Sacred Arts Conference at Oxford University, reflecting its resonance within contemporary dialogues at the intersection of spirituality and art. The series is developed across multiple media, including oil on canvas and digital art. The artworks are rendered in abstract geometric form using acrylics, with select works incorporating Swarovski crystals to symbolize purity and inner clarity.
Earlier in her career, Monika trained in Fashion Design in Delhi and worked with major fashion houses in India and the UK. She later founded the artistic scarf brand Monaara, where she gained hands-on experience translating original artworks into digitally printed textiles and production-ready formats. This work involved close collaboration with printers, fabricators, and vendors to ensure fidelity of color, scale, and detail across materials.
Monika is currently a resident artist at Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center in New York State. As a spiritual facilitator with Brahma Kumaris, she supports individuals in envisioning and manifesting their future transformed selves through spiritual tools. At Peace Village, she leads contemplative art workshops and retreats, guiding artists in integrating spirituality into their creative expression.

On the inside, I see myself composed of brightness - a shining vibrant star, a traveller in a long journey through bodies.
In this journey. as I experience fellow beings, cultures, countries, I reflect upon the impressions & conversations with them. I have attempted observing the state of being and his relationship with ‘The Source’. The creation represents the journey towards realisation inside the mind, meditating through stages and experiencing many blissful emotions along the way. I have attempted to portrait the consciousness of spiritual personality in an abstract style.
I attempt to create in a blissful and meditative state to manifest the impressions of spiritual vibrations with the art, which viewers can experience. It's an attempt to serve souls with vibrations of healing energy in a world of chaos. Also then take them on a journey towards experiencing eternity.
The latest series “Rosary of Victory”, I have expressed the spiritual perspective on the journey of gaining victory over self. True success is when one is able to conquer the faculties of mind, intellect and impression and become their master. The soul learns to live harmoniously with others, embodying peace and love. When many such souls come together, they form a rosary. The concepts are done using various media. The sub-series of “Characteristics of Victorious Souls”, is created in a geometric art style. The artworks use mixed media.
My work is inspired by meditation practices, experiences and spiritual studies at the Brahma Kumaris. I have been practising Rajyoga Meditation since 2001. I started expressing the treasures from this journey in 2017 while expressing the state of my inner being through spiritual art. This goes through different stages experiencing many blissful emotions along the way.
